2019 marks the 5th anniversary of the SPL! We’ve been working behind the scenes for several months to bring you the full 2019 events schedule for the league. We understand that many players have to request time off and plan their work schedule in advance based on these dates. With that said, below is the five event schedule for the SPL.
Event 1, Kickoff – Jan 19-20, Battle Field Orlando, Orlando, FL
Event 2, Peach State Classic – March 2-3, Big Indian Paintball, Perry, GA
Event 3, Sunshine State Open – Apr 13-14, Central Florida Paintball, Lakeland, FL
Event 4, Memorial Cup – May 25-26, Nitro Paintball, Ball Ground, GA
Event 5, Social Cup – Sept 21-22, Central Florida Paintball, Lakeland, FL
This season we’ll be having three events in Florida and two events in Georgia. This gives teams in both states the opportunity to compete for the Series Title, while not having the pressure of being forced to travel out of state if it’s not possible. We will be making a separate announcement explaining how the series standings will be calculated.
You’ll notice that this season we’ve decided to bypass a July event in our schedule, reducing the total number of events to five. July can be a grueling month in The South, and the last thing we want is for teams to get burnt out, literally and figuratively and. We also have two new host fields, both in the state of Georgia! It’s been a long-time desire for the SPL to expand into other states, so we are extremely excited to be able to bring the SPL to these two great locations.
